Ever-present Jesus,
I long to give myself fully to the adventure of today! I want to walk boldly along the path of Life—relying on You, my ever-present Companion. I have every reason to be confident because Your Presence accompanies me all the days of my life—and onward into eternity.
Help me not to give in to fear or worry, those robbers of abundant living. Teach me to trust You enough to face problems as they come. My natural tendency is to anticipate and prepare for trouble in a vain attempt to stay in control. But You’ve been showing me that if I fix my eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of my faith, many obstacles on the road ahead will vanish before I reach them.
Whenever I start to feel afraid, please take hold of my right hand and remind me that You are continually with me. Your Word assures me that neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from Your loving Presence.
